Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach  (born September 24, 1989), professionally known as  Pia Romero,  is a  Filipina - German  actress, model and beauty queen who was crowned  Binibining Pilipinas 2015  on March 15, and later crowned  Miss Universe 2015  on December 20. Early life and education Wurtzbach was born in  Stuttgart ,  Baden-Württemberg  to a German father and Filipino mother. She later moved to  Cagayan de Or oon the island of  Mindanao  where she attended kindergarten at Kong Hua School and primary school at Corpus Christi. Wurtzbach speaks fluent  Cebuano (Visayan) , English, German and  Tagalog . She finished her secondary education at ABS-CBN Distance Learning School in  Quezon City  and studied  Culinary Arts  at the  Center for Asian Culinary Studies  in  San Juan, Metro Manila . Herrell will represent the country in this year's Miss Earth, one of the biggest beauty pageants worldwide – the venue and date of which is yet to be announced. Janine Mari Raymundo Tugonon (born 19 October 1989 in Balanga , Bataan ) is a Filipina beauty queen who holds the title Miss Universe-Philippines 2012 and placed first runner-up in the Miss Universe 2012 pageant. She also placed first runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas 2011 , where her roommate, Shamcey Supsup , won. Miss Universe 2012 On 19 December 2012, Tugonon fiinshed first runner-up to Miss Universe 2012 , Olivia Culpo of Rhode Island , USA , at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas .
